Trail Talk
Dear Peralta Trail Families,
As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to our students, families, and staff. This year has been full of learning, growth, laughter, and resilience, and I couldn’t be prouder of our Bobcat community.
To our students: You’ve worked hard, shown kindness, and grown in so many ways—academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether you’re heading off to middle school or returning to us in July, remember that you are always a part of the Bobcat family.
To our families: Thank you for your support, partnership, and trust. Your involvement in your child’s education makes a world of difference.
To our dedicated staff: Your passion, creativity, and unwavering commitment to our students make Peralta Trail a truly special place. Thank you for all that you do.
As we head into summer, I encourage everyone to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Keep reading, stay curious, and most importantly—have fun!
We look forward to welcoming our Bobcats back on July 16th for another exciting year of learning and growing together.
Wishing you all a safe, joyful, and well-deserved summer break!

With gratitude,
Mrs. P. Smith
Principal, Peralta Trail Elementary

School Site Council

SY26 PTES School Site Council

PTES will hold an election for those interested to serve on our School Site Council (SSC).  SSC is a group made up of teachers, staff, parents/guardians, community members, and the principal.  SSC will meet once a quarter for the 2025/26 school year at 5:00 PM in the library (DATES: TBD beginning in August).
The purpose of the SSC is to review school site issues and make recommendations to the school administration.  If you are interested in serving on the PTES SSC, please fill out the interest form (see link below) no later than Monday, May 26th.  Once names are submitted, an election ballot form will be sent through ParentSquare on Tuesday, May 27th to elect your parent and staff representation for SSC.
It is important to remember that School Site Council members don't just represent their own interests, they have an obligation to give advisement to the principal and help to make decisions that will best serve the whole school community.  Thank you for your consideration to serve on this council for the upcoming school year!

Attendance Matters

Week of 5/12/25 PTES Attendance = 95 %

Way to go Peralta Trail Bobcats! Overall we met our goal of 95% with Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 4th grades reaching this goal or higher! Wow! 1st grade had a 98% attendance rate this past week!

Don't forget to call in an absence if your child has to miss school and if they are out for a medical reason, please turn in your doctor's note to the school office. Remember that being absent more than 10% of the total days in session is defined as chronic absenteeism (more than 18 days for the 180 day school year).

PTES PTO

Our fantastic school year is coming to an end, Bobcats, and we’ll definitely miss all of you over the summer!

Water Day was last Friday, and it was an absolute success! We want to give a HUGE shoutout to all the parents who volunteered to help with this event – it was wonderful to meet some new Bobcat families, and we literally could not have had this event without them. Our amazing staff at Peralta Trail Elementary School was also instrumental in getting everything set up and running smoothly throughout the event, as usual! And who could forget the Superstition Fire and Medical Department?! I’m not sure if there was a dry spot left on our field when they left! THANK YOU ALL!!

Peralta Trail Elementary School is hosting the 5th grade celebration and family lunch on Wednesday 5/21, and all 5th grade students should have brought the invitation home earlier this month. If you did not receive one, please reach out to your child’s teacher for another paper or digital copy. Families were asked to please RSVP using the QR code on the invitation, on or before Thursday 5/15, for food planning purposes. However, if you forgot to do so, please submit that RSVP by EOD Monday 5/19!

Our last PTO member meeting of this school year is scheduled for Monday 5/19 at 4 pm in the school library, where we will be discussing feedback from this year’s events – what everyone enjoyed, suggestions for improvements, fundraising and event opportunities for next year, and celebrating the dedicated volunteers that make it all possible! As always, if you aren’t interested in attending our meetings, you can still see all the latest news by following us on Facebook using the QR code and/or link below. You can also reach out to us directly at PTESBobcats.PTO@gmail.com with any questions or suggestions.

Thank You Officer Garcia!

On Thursday morning our students and staff gathered outdoors for our morning announcements as we honored our SRO, Officer Garcia! Students and staff did a "Dress like Officer Garcia Day" and we presented him with cards, messages, and goodies to show how much he is appreciated. Each day he is there for us to keep our campus safe and be a mentor for all!

AJUSD Cell Phone Policy - Thank You PTES Families!

cell phone
Thank you for your support and reminding your child of our Cell Phone Policy. So far we have had only a FEW issues and students are more focused during the school day. If a student has a cell phone, once on campus they are to turn it off and secure it in their backpack as it is not permitted to be out during school hours. Please see the new policy below:
