Innovating Young Minds Through STEM and Curiosity
At Peralta Trail Elementary, learning is hands-on, minds-on, and future-focused. As the pilot site for AJUSD’s GenTech STEM program, Peralta has become a district leader in integrating science, technology, engineering, and math into everyday instruction.
Our STEM-infused approach challenges students to think critically, explore creatively, and collaborate effectively, all while building a strong academic foundation in the core subjects.

STEM in Action
From the very first grade level, students at Peralta Trail engage in:

  • Project-Based Learning that connects math, science, and technology to real-world problems
  • Engineering Design Challenges that develop persistence and teamwork
  • Integrated Tech Tools including coding, robotics, and digital design
  • Environmental and Outdoor Learning using our unique natural surroundings as an extended classroom


Our goal is to spark lifelong curiosity while preparing students with the problem-solving and innovation skills needed in today’s world as well as tomorrow’s.

We follow Arizona state standards while enriching every subject with inquiry and exploration: - English Language Arts: Reading fluency, comprehension, writing, and speaking - Mathematics: Conceptual understanding and real-world application - Science: STEM-aligned experiments, observations, and investigations - Social Studies: History, civics, and cultural awareness with cross-curricular integration
